After 7 games Hiarcs is in the lead by 4-3. When looking at the games I think
the result so far is a bit flattering for Fritz 5.32! Overall I feel that
Hiarcs has produced the clearly better chess. In fact I don“t see any real
winning chances at all for Fritz - in these 7 games. But strange things
really happened in game 1 !! I really liked 19.g4 ! And how Fritz somehow
managed to - more or less - swindel himself /and Hiarcs !/ to a win is close
to a mystery to me. The Wizard Fritz at his best!!

Game 2 showed clear advantage to Hiarcs but ended in a draw.

Game 3 was balanced and a well diserved draw for both players.

Game 4 was also drawn - but as a whole I feel that black showed the better chess

Game 5 was a brilliancy by Hiarcs !! Superb grandmaster play all the way !!
Fritz was totally busted and one could sense both music, poetry and
tremendeous strength in the performance of Hiarcs !

Game 6 showed another convincing victory for Hiarcs. Somehow Fritz found himself
in a position where he tried to play without queen for 23 moves
And that proved of course to be a mission without hope!

Game 7 produced no real winning chances for either side. A logical
draw though fighting chess was there from both players.

Most interesting to see the coming games. We are still waiting for
Fritz to produce something extra.

By the way Tania - what opening book do you use in the games ??

A little bit off the record I can mention to you that I have made some
"internal" tests with Chessmaster 6000. Do you have that program ?

Just for fun I was interested in which one of the Grandmaster-characters,
including Chessmaster himself, played the best 10-min blitz. So after
a number of tournaments I had the 10 best players. And they played matches
against each other. /Minimum 10-games matches/. Which gave about 100
games for each character against top-10.

Result was that 4 players proved themselves clearly better than the
rest! If you are familiar with the program you are welcome with a
smart guess!! I also made ELO-calculation based on a average rating
2525 for these 10 characters. Just for fun of course - but chess is fun!

Greetings Sune
