I am against it. I cannot moderate a non-English message, so I do not think
people should post in non-English languages. However, I tolerate it just like I
tolerate minor profanity.

I will delete non-English posts under two conditions:

1) Someone Emails me that the non-English post is inappropriate. Since I cannot
make that judgement for myself, I can only assume that the person Emailing me is
correct. It is better to play it safe, then sorry. I will inform the poster the
reason for my deletion just like I would any other deletion.

2) I will also post a message in a given thread that future non-English posts
will be deleted if the thread gets way out of hand (say more than 15 messages).
If people continue to post non-English messages in that thread (or start up a
new thread), I will delete the additional messages.

There is usually no need to post in a non-English language. If you wish to say
something to someone where you can express yourself better in a non-English
language, then Email that person.

Actually, I would prefer that people who want to post in a non-English language
also place an English translation (a reasonable one, not one of these automatic
ones from the net) in the message as well. I cannot force anyone to do this, but
if you do not post an English translation, remember that I will not have any
context in which to make a judgement. So, #1 above could occur on a totally on
topic non-offensive post.

People can post whatever they wish as long as it follows the other guidelines.
So, if I Email someone that their message has been deleted and they decide to
post my Email to the group, I do not particularly care.

I think so. Each nominee seems to be a reasonable person.
