Actually, Shep ran the LCTII test on both CM6K and CM6555 (not
finished the last time I looked, Positional tests not complete
and only 5 points separated the two in CMB/FIN). He did put
CM6K in a few games and it did well, but he was not impressed
with the analysis of CM5555 vs CM6K, he thinks CM5555 is stronger
and also posted a reference to another person that did matches
at different time controls for different CM6K settings (CM5555 was
not included in these matches as I remember). If I remember correctly
CM6K was strongest at 40/2hr, but not by much (1 game maybe out of
less than 20) and CM6555 was better at faster time controls.

I also remember that the author reported to Mindscape that the
Default settings for CM6K are the strongest. I use CM6K "I am the
next Bobby Fisher", Chessmaster, SS=20, ttables=24) on a 64M PII300
machine. I have CM5555 and I think CM6K is stronger, just my opinion
and the opinion of the author.

If I have mis-quoted Shep, it was not intentional. He may post a
reply or you can visit his page: http://come.to/SCCS. He runs a
great site.

Best Regards,
Chris Carson
