Hello Tania!
I set up the position for Fritz's 18th move on my K6 400MHz processor with 131
megs of RAM, and Fritz played b4 showing White with a slight advantage 0.31.
Also, I played the game with Fritz making Kf3 as the first move and put in
Hiarcs moves. All went as you posted until the 5th move when Fritz only
considered Nc3 which it played quickly! In the Opening book tree Nc3 was the
only move listed for Fritz to play. This and the 18th move difference to what
Fritz played in your game is quite baffling, especially in light of the fact
that on the 5th move, Nc3 was the only move in the tree to be played. This
suggests something is wrong. Have you tried making Fritz play Nf3 again and
input Hiarcs moves? In other words, replay the game to the 5th move, look at the
tree, and then see what Fritz plays.
Regards,
Mel
