I think, however, when Hsu brings his chips to market, this will be a __Big__ jump in computer chess. Although hardware evaluations have been around for some time ( since Belle ?), they have not be available to the masses, and not at the performance level he describes. I do think this will qualify, as a __Big__ leap in performance. My $0.02. BTW, since IBM is partners in the PPC chip, how about makeing them available for PPC PCI based systems (_first_). I'd love to put deep blue in my Mac. :) William wbryant@ix.netcom.com
