Not really in general. There won't be that much difference between between
Celeron/K6/PII/PIII, but it does depend on the program. All of those will be
better than a vanilla Pentium though. If your after the fastest PC for chess,
then choose your chess program, go to the author's website and see if they make
any recommendations.
