As good as this suggestion can sound it have some "BUTS". Problem I see in two different instances: 1 In the lowest ply, game (at least mine) do not depose the move after move on the board in order to find the best response. For the sake of knowing at what speed my game can see the positions, I created one special "tool" that proceed in the lowest ply like in all upper plys. Only through this "special" tool I found how speedy my game is. 2 My logic have only basic engin (minimax, alpha-beta) and it is possible that next advanced technics can take some extra speed. So comparing my game with more advanced, I can end with the faulty impression that my engin perform better that it realy do. Leonid.
