1. I also have 128M, but often play crafty against gnu or some other engine in
Winboard. Under those circumstances - i.e. engine vs engine play - should hash
and hashp values be lowered?

2. re paging: My hd is active in the early part of the game, even beyond the
opening and into the middle game. Normally it is silent when it is WELL INTO the
middle game and thereafter (no tablebases). Is this OK? (i.e. the hd activity
early in the middle game).

3. With crafty, in engine vs engine mode under Winboard, shld I use winboard's
"pondering off" feature?
