If James' code is not too heavily dependant on the Win32 environment.
He could try to recompiling it under Solaris or IRIX, and take a
couple of runs under Purify: it's quite good detecting this kind
of stuff.

Under Win32, I think NuMega's BoundsChecker does a similar work
but never tried.
