I have added some new features to my program that make it serch on average more nodes that the previous version, but the NPS is much higher, so it is an overall speed gain...... I think. Unfortunately windows gives me such wildly different timings each time I run my program (some instances, the same program will give me a 20% different timing for the same task), so I need much more timing stability. I thought about porting my program to DOS and running it there, but that would be a lot of work, and I was hoping for something faster. Is there any way to FORCE Windows to spend almost exactly the same amount of CPU time on my program every time it is run? Thanks, James
