there seems to be great concern over which program is stronger. i myself want
the strongest i can get.but alot depends on what you are going to do with the
program?
i wish there were a rating for how good a program was at long term slow over
night thinking. i really believe if there was a separate list for like 3
different times,you would get three different winners.
like blitz from 5-30 sec move
tourn 3-5 min move
long term 1-5 hours move
i believe at the slower time limits smart programs such as hiarcs, m-chess,
rebel,would destroy programs such as fritz ect.because the slower programs would
not get caught up in tactics so easy,then it would come down to chess
knowledge,weak faster programs would lose big??????????
