Hello Chris,
You seem pretty adament in your statements but I haven't seen any posting by
you. How many games have you played and on what hardware and what settings and
what were the scores. How about some details. I was not going to post any
results until I had at least 200 games but I had to send some e-mail and decided
to check here before starting my second 100 games.
So far, here is what I have:
Fritz is running on a K6-2-400 with 16 meg hash. (I have found 16 meg to be)
Hiarcs is running on a PII-333 with 16 meg hash. (plenty at blitz. )

Fritz is using the Fritz5 book and Hiarcs has it's own book and it's own
tablebases plus about 6 extra 5 man tablebases not supplied with the program.
Fritz has only it's endgame CD. The FritzMarks for the two machines indicates
FRitz gains from the K6-2 while Hiarcs loses a little so in the first 100 games
Fritz has a slight speed advantage. In the second 100 games they will switch
and Fritz will lose about 18% of it's speed while Hiarcs will lose about 11%.
This is because both programs run faster on the computer they were started on.
So far the score:

Fritz 5.32 vs Hiarcs 7.32 +38 -36 =26 (51-49 score)

The 100 games were run in 3 stages. At first I ran 10 games and realized that
Hiarcs 7.32 resigned a game. I like to run all games to conclusion so I changed
the setting from "Resign late" to "Resign never" and started another set which
ran for 70 games. I wanted to check the WCCC tournament so stopped the match
for that purpose. Then I ran the last 20 games. So that's the conditions under
which I ran the first 100 games. They will be available to anyone who ask for
them as I save all my games.

After this 200 game match I will run Hiarcs vs Junior for 200 games under the
same conditions.
