Yes, after Ng3 something would go down. White threatens Bxf6, Nxe4, and the
knight on d3 is hanging. I haven't double-checked this but that's what I
remember seeing.

21...g6 was anti-positional and that's really all there is to it, but 17...e4 is
more complicated. As far as I could see after trying hard to understand the
purpose of Qc4, I realized that it was threatening Qh4. I never saw this type of
position handled that way and thought it was a very interesting manoeuvre.

Cilkchess's rook on h6 had to be the most ridiculous thing I ever saw from a top
program. Today that is. It goes without saying that not many eyebrows would have
been raised had this been 10 years ago.
