Is the proportion of draws in computer chess tournaments significantly less than that in human tournaments? I suspect this is the case because programs aren't good at recognising drawn positions, and continue until one makes an error and a result occurs. If I am right, does this somehow distort the ranking of programs in the tournament (assuming the end-game error is somehow less important than having reached the drawn middle-game or end-game position)?
