Well the tournament's not over yet and I'm not predicting. However, this is the World Championship and whatever program wins will be the world champion and deserves to be so. As for Shredder, I have Shredder2/3 and also Fritz5.32. I am finding in my own analyses that Shredder seems to be doing a better job than Fritz. I'm not bashing any program here just expressing my feeling on the results that I see. Shredder is a true windows interface while Fritz is a GUI interface but not windows. Fritz, on the other hand, has much better database functionality than Shredder (Shredder has none) and also better (nicer) printing functionality. I think that if Shredder gave the users all the functionality that Fritz gives, that perhaps Shredder and Fritz and Junior and Nimzo would all be top candidates for posting. If Shredder does win this tournament then during these two weeks in time, it was the best (strongest) program around and should reap all the rewards of being World Champion.
