Here's what I know of so far:

-- A completely new interface, with a "Chess Academy" feel. There will be
several different "rooms" where certain functions of the program are located.
Tournaments and rated games are in one place, Online in another, tutorials in
the classroom, etc.
-- One of these rooms will be specifically for kids. Something like 50 kids
(under 18) opponents to choose from, where the toughest is around 1900 (although
supposedly there will be several "Josh Waitzkin at age X" players as well, and I
imagine at least one of those will be at least 2000).
-- Randomly generated drills of various types, including mate in 2's that I've
heard can be very difficult.
-- A new "diagnostic" test by Bruce Pandolfini intended for players under 2000.
-- Direct Play support for Online play, meaning you no longer have to go to
MPlayer to play CM Live. Modem, LAN, TCP and direct cable support. I've even
heard that you will be able to set up your own server with as many as 8 players
in your own little version of CM Live.
-- Of course, more of all of the same old stuff like new chess boards and sets,
new annotated games by Josh Waitzkin, larger database, etc....
