Never heard that. Why would it? No idea. I think even the people recommending it don't know. :) Probably some subtle way in which the surface properties are altered, causing the audio signal to become slightly blurred and less accurate, thus more like on a vinyl record. But that's just speculation on my part. Tried it myself, didn't seem to change anything, but then again I didn't put my best CDs in the freezer... --- Shep
