Any program can have a bad tournament, although it is too early to say that about Mchess, since this one is not over. I direct you to Fritz in '96 and '97, Deep Thought II in '95, and Shredder in '95 and '97. Nobody remembers that Shredder was leading the '95 tournament for a while. bruce
