I just copied some PGN from this forum into my Windows clipboard, and tried to find a chess program to paste it into, so that I could look at the game. Not a particularly sophisticated requirement - but most of the programs I have either can't do it at all, or hide it away somewhere that I couldn't find it quickly: (It should be Edit / Paste). Fritz5: No - but it's only pseudo-windows anyway. Chessbase Light: Nothing obvious Chess Assistant 4 Demo: No - (surprising - it's one of the better Windows interfaces) EPD2Diag: - No (recognised PGN on the clipboard, but chose not to paste it in) etc etc etc - I tried several others.... Perhaps some of these programs can do it (saving to disk and importing doesn't count...) - but it wasn't obvious at a glance; which it should be. The ONE program I found that gets it right? - CDB of course. Thanks Peter ! I guess this highlights the difference between writing a program for windows - and writing a windows program. So which other programs can Edit/Paste pgn ? Regards Quenton Fyfe
