I received an interesting position from the British Chess Problem Solving
Society > white:Kh5;Qc1;Bd3,h2;Nb4,g3;Pd2,e2,f5 /
black:Kf4;Rf3;Ne7,g1;Pb56,e5,f6,g4,h3. It is white to mate in 2. I set the time
control to 40moves in 2hours. Only Genius 5.0, Rebell 9.0, and Chess Champion
found the answer(less than two minutes). Fritz 4.0, Hiarcs 6.0, Junior 5.0,
Chessica, and ChessMasters 2100 thru 6000 did not find the answer. They came up
with Pe3 or Qc6 and announced mate in 2 more moves.
I was wonering what other machines will/would come up with.
