I think that engine-engine games are more interesting for the public because most of the people have not 2 identical computers. I do not understand what is the reson that there is a big difference between engine-engine games and games with 2 computers. I can understand that there is a difference because in engine-engine games the programs cannot use the permanent brain but I do not expect a difference of more than 50 elo rating and the results that I saw suggest a difference of more than 50 points rating. It is possible that there is a bug in the autoplayer that change the results of computer-computer games. I am interested to know if computer-computer games of Fritz-Hiarcs can be reproducable manually. There are 2 questions to check: 1)Can you reproduce manually the moves of Hiarcs when you use 2 computers(I suspect that Hiarcs is weaker with the autoplayer)? 2)Can you reproduce manually the moves of Fritz in engine-engine games (Maybe Fritz5.32 is playing weaker in engine-engine games and it is the reason for the poor results against Hiarcs7.32) I bought Hiarcs and not Fritz5.32 because I test Junior in engine-engine games and I prefer to test it against the best program in engine-engine games.
