In lieu of a round-robin, they've done the best they can with it. It is a little late now to change things so that who gets to play the GMs is based on tournament performance ratings instead of final standings. And if you did make such a change, then the people who got paired against relatively weaker opponents might say it was unjust to them! After all, they did get more points. Dave
