all the top programs are stuck close to 2600, increased hardware speeds are only going to take chess so far. ther going to have to come up with a better searching strategy ,much better learning , last but certainly not least an oppening table base that would make sure you had a draw or better coming out of the gate . maybe if the prize for winning the tourn was a large amount the motivation for great improvement would be there???????
