I don't think Hiarcs7 had a poor performance. It did not win, but played some
good chess against some very fast and strong programs. I agree just because
Hiarcs7 did not win this short tournament, this does not mean Hiarcs7 is still
not the best commercial program.

If one of us on ICC ran a tournament like this at home, then claimed the winning
of such a tournament was the best and strongest program based on the results...,
everyone on ICC would rip that person a new one and with good reason.

Shredder could be the strogest program, or so could Rebel 10.5. All you can say
for sure for this tournament is that Shredder won and Ferret came in 2nd, thus
Shredder claimed the right to call itself the world champ.

To read anything more into this tournament is nonsense, there are not enough
games between the programs to say Shredder is stronger then Hiarcs7 or any other
program in this tournament that was near the top.
