I will have a go at pridicting things.

I pridict Mindscape to buy out chessbase, Bring out CM7K which is twice as
strong as CM6K, which will rule the SSDF for years to come. Hsu DB chip will be
made under contract with Mindscape. It will be called Chessmaster Jr. All other
programmers seeing the Chessmaster/Mindscape steam rolling the computer chess
world, will jump at mindscape for them to market and sell their programs.
Within three years the only people not under Mindscape power will be the
freeware chess engines which are basically nothing more than fodder for the
might of Mindscape.

Within five years due to greed by one of the Mindscape excutives who rips off
millions of dollars, the world computer chess market crumbles. Mindscape have to
salvage whatever they can and the only program that survives with be Chessmaster
9000.

This is only a prediction might you. I might be wrong, but then, I was really
the only one who ever thought CM6K would top the SSDF. So one wonders ????
