I wasn't really following what was going on with all of those EPD files a while back, I don't even know what they were being used for. But Winboard says that it can save a position in EPD if it's any help, here's a quick example of a save: r1bqkbnr/1ppp1ppp/p1n5/1B2p3/4P3/5N2/PPPP1PPP/RNBQK2R w KQkq - 0 4 It just looks like FEN to me and it might be. Also Mac Chess can save in EPD but I've never seen Mac Chess other than a screen shot of it. Pete
