In Chessmaster 6000, Windows menu, Think Lines window, the Depth values are
displayed like:
01/05
01/06
02/07
02/08
.....
I notice that if I set the Selective Search option in personality to 10, the
first Depth number remains a 01/ until the second number gets above /11. If I
set the Selective Search to a small value, then the first number in Depth gets
bigger faster. I can't find a precise explanation of those Depth numbers in the
operating instructions. Presumably the first number is the ply depth of a
complete search, and the second number is the ply depth of a Selective Search.
Is that correct?
The Score is displayed next to the Depth. Presumably the Score is based upon
the Selective Search (not the complete search). Is that correct?
Thanks!
