All the advance publicity said K7 would do SMP. I'd be very surprised if it
doesn't because this is going to be an important part of the midrange market.

Celerons don't officially do SMP. But hotwiring them to work is supposed to be
easy, and maybe someone will sell systems where it's all done for you. It
probably voids your warantee from Intel, for what that's worth. Also that tiny
L2 cache (and nearly impossible to fit an L3) would make such a system a bit
weak for a lot of typical SMP applications. Might be ok for chess though.
