Bob, I have several mailing lists going (very small ones however). What I see is that it's really just as good as the old newsgroup. One disadvantage is that you can end up with a loaded inbox, if there are many postings. And *all* of it gets downloaded. However I would still go for it. It would be *perfect* if each user could set an option, to mail all posts or not, the web-based interface meanwhile staying 100% intact. That's exactly how it is done at www.egroups.com.
