Hello Terry,

Welcome to the Hiarcs 7.32 Confusion Club. The membership has declined somewhat
since the tablebase issue has been made more clear; however, it's nice to get a
new member now and then. As for your very good question, let me state what I
have been able to accomplish in trying to get the matter resolved intelligently:

1. I contacted ChessBase support in Germany and the response I received from the
technical support person at Chessbase - "You don't need as much for hash tables
as for Fritz". When I persisited in getting to the heart of the matter IE Is the
formula on Hiarcs program for HT incorrect? - I never received an answer. I
personally believe they do not know the answer!!!

2. I also contacted Gambit-Soft in Germany and they said'Yes". That means they
are saying the formula for Hiarcs is the same as for Fritz!!!!!

3. I have e-mailed Mark Uniacke and have not received a reply.

At this point, I feel comfortable in saying that you know as much about Hiarcs
7.32 as ChessBase in Germany - you may even know more!!!!!

Regards,
Mel
