Maybe even we justr >had two flukes in a row which is not at all impossible. I'm not ruling out Hiarcs 6, but when I tested this program some years ago...I noted this weakness, and its more pronounced at faster time controls. This is why I have been so critical of Hiarcs 6 in the past, but not of Hiarcs 7. This problem of slow tactics and weak king saftey has been addressed in Hiarcs 7. It is clear that Hiarcs 6 was designed for slow chess only, only here does it have time to save itself in some cases from this type of play. At faster time controls Hiarcs 6 can play very dumb. Because of this, it is not wise to take Hiarcs 6 results one of the weakest commercial programs at this time controls and on this computer system and have it represent all chess programs as being easily beaten by this type of play.
