No, but there are many alternatives all of which are better. MacChess, the freeware chess program is incredible. SigmaChess light is also strong, great interface, and also free. (it is a 68k only program so not as strong others.) For commercial programs: Chessmaster 4000. Although many sell it for $40, you can often get it for $10 or less by finding an old copy of Chessmasster 5000 which was a combined CD with the Mac version included. HIARCS 7.0 The absolute strongest Mac based program. (Don't _YET_ have a copy so I can't comment on features or interface, but Richard Fowell has a nice review of this program.) Links to the freeware programs can be found in the Chess resource center on this message board. Finally, bringing up a distant last, Screamer (my own chess program) is comming along nicely. It rates at about 2180 by CCR testing and 2275 by LCTII William wbryant@ix.netcom.com
