I have also beaten international masters with hiarcs6. Hiarcs6 on my machine achieved a rating of 2533 on icc defeating many superstrong computers, this is why the result of these two games doesn't convince me that i lost because of a slow machine. As hyaat pointed out my machine runs equalavent to a pent 200mmx. Also I get a bench mark of 2511 running rebel10, this is slightly a better performance than the pent 200mmx on schroeder's homepage. There are still four games left, hiarcs has a chance to redeem itself. Let me add one more remark, Richard started this match uneasily he told me he hoped to get only two draws in this match, and was just as surprised as myself with the result. Although he doesn't play computers much, he admitted that he usually gets beat by fritz5.32 , and has played chessmaster 6000 one game which he won, in a indentical ending as game 1 of his match with hiarcs6.
