Hello Brett, I would like to know where or how you found this formula to be an accurate gauge for megs required for Hiarcs 7.32? The older Hiarcs 7 had a recommended hash table size of 64 megs. Your above formula for Fritz does not coincide with what is recommended in the manual. IE Playing at 40/2 on a 200MHz processor Fritz needs 72 megs for hash tables. You have listed in your formula only 57 megs. According to your formula for Hiarcs, at 40/2 on a 400MHz processor Hiarcs would only need 11 megs - somehow that doesn't seem correct to me.
