It may be great fun & excitement for you, but if you were one of the competing player's, you would likely worry that his father was going to turn up & cause a lot of trouble. Just ask Joel Benjamin or Patrick Wolff, what they think of all this, or read their past well written articles in "Chess Chow", "New In Chess" and/or other past chess publications, and you would get a good idea of the perversion that otherwise normal chess tournaments, experienced with the Kamsky's around. For what its worth, if Gata Kamsky alone is at this event, it could be good for American chess. If his father is there too, then we are better off without them, IMHO. Professional player's only worry about players like Kamsky because of their strenght, but there is the very real issue for them, that an outside 'pugilistic force' screaming about conspircies & cheating, and otherwise wrecking havoc & interfearing with their play, (as K's father did in many, many past event's), is an extremely undesirable element in an already nerve racking tournament venture... mrslug - the chess software addict!
