I followed exactly the protocol in probe.c and Eugen's probe.txt.... I also had
my program print out the arguments so I could inspect them by hand, and they
look fine....

It just refuses to work. I must have a bug somewhere else.... I'll send my code
to Eugene and see what he has to say.
