In the File Save dialog, at the top is a combobox that, initially, will have the
directory name that the file is going to be saved into. It also happens to be
the directory where your currently open database resides (almost always on the
CD unless you told CM's install to copy it to your hard drive).

Clicking on the down-arrow on the right of that combobox will bring up several
entries, including different drive letters. You can select a different drive
from there and navigate to the directory in which you want the database saved.
