Yes, it's so. I remember an anecdote about Socrates, in old Greece, about a man which was going to relate an incident to him, before which Socrates interrupted it doing to him a series of questions about the goodness of the saying by that, reaching the conclusion from since it was not going to be in something positive for anything or nobody, did not say it.
