Last nite I started a blitz match (Game/5) with Fritz 5.32 vs the combination of Fritz5.32(Tactical),Hiarcs7.32(Positional) and Hiarcs 7.32(Enggame). The "ComboTeam" was in automatic mode, meaning the Fritz GUI selected who would play which moves. It started out like the "ComboTeam" would be a great success. After 40 games it was 24.5 to 15.5 favor the ComboTeam. When I woke up this morning it was 52.5 to 49.5 favor the ComboTeam. As I watched some of the games I started thinking that maybe the "ComboTeam" would do better if I let Fritz play the "Positional" moves because there seemed to be a lot of tactics still involved in the positions that Hiarcs was handling. That will be in another experiment. I'm convinced that Hiarcs handles the endgame better because of the tablebases. Has anyone else tried this experiment yet? Jim Walker
