Dear Bob, No I'm not the guy who posted to NG about a CA corruption problem, but I've subsequently learned from CA that this was a "known bug". Regardless, thanks to you and others (I also posted to The Correspondence Chess Message Board), I've decided to purchase the upgrade, although I've been advised to wait for version 5.0, due out in autumn. Bob, thanks for referring me to your wonderful web site. I'm so impressed with the detail you provided that I've bookmarked the site. Well done! Yes, I too prefer CA over the more expensive CB. For example, in friendly comparisons with CB owners, my DOS CA was much faster in searches, even though I used an old 486 DX2/66 computer on a large database (over 500,000 games) versus my friends pentiums with half as many games.
