However, day 4 will be tough for him since he will be playing Leko (0-1), Polgar (1-0), and Morozevich (1-0), whereas Fritz will be playing Svidler (1-0), Polgar (1-0), and Morozevich (0-1); a slightly easier road to hoe (but only slightly due to the current standings and not the records against the remaining opponents). It seems very unlikely that Topalov will go 3-0 and Fritz will go 1.5-1.5 and Topalov will win it. Although, it is interesting that Sergey Shipov's opinion of him before the tournament was "Veselin still cannot return to his former level. Time passes, more young competitors are pressing him, and it is becoming more and more difficult for him to stay at the top. Topalov's submissive loss to Morozevich with White in Sarajevo is very characteristic! This experienced Bulgarian chess player will have to live through difficult times. I wish I were mistaken, but it seems to me that he can not fight for the first prize.". This opinion seems to be mistaken as he is practically the only person who has a chance against Fritz and then only if his opponents help him out (by losing to him and beating Fritz). Maybe Svidler, Polgar, and Morozevich will have enough examples of GM vs. Fritz games to take Fritz out on the last day, but it is doubtful. KarinsDad :)
