Ychess is strong. However, the Mirage program version 17.37, seems to be a little
stronger based on a few informal games that I have conducted on my Pentium ll
300. The more recent versions of Crafty ARE stronger than either of the above
two; especially with the large opening book, and endgame tablebases.
Psion is an old Richard Lang program from the mid eighties. It is NOT Genius 1.
I think it is related to the old Amsterdam/Dallas programs.
