(note: I have the utmost respect for Dr. Hyatt, and this isn't intended as an insult against him.) Anyway, I don't believe that disabling pondering in both engines is likely to hurt program A significantly more than program B. If I were as "excitable" as you suggest in the previous post, I'd go through the archives and compile statistics to support my point. Perhaps somebody else will take the time... Another poster claims that Hiarcs still ponders in engine-engine matches on the same machine, and *that* would be a definite problem. --Peter
