Rebel 10 is an excellent program but is eclipsed by Hiarcs 7.32 and Fritz 6.x . In turn these programs will be fondly remembered as childs' play in another ten years. Ed Schroder is already doing his GM of the month. I think that your idea has merit. I submitted one of my games against Hiarcs 6 on the 20th of May, 1999 and it was ignored. So, we basically have the mindset--"Who the hell is he and why should we think of his game as having any value". Now, if Karpov, Fischer or Kasparov were to put up a game that they played against Rebel or Fritz then you would have countless responses. It is human nature to want to associate with "winners" and those who do feel good about themselves. We all know of "the Emperors' clothes" and the fact that if a person in authority says something then it must be true. In short, yes, you have a good idea but will the egos of this place allow it?
