Right! When I get some more time, I will start porting my chess program from C to Common Lisp. I don't expect to see more than a 10-30% slowdown, and the flexibility, elegance, easy debugging and general ease of use of this Mother of All Programming Languages should more than compensate for the small loss of speed. Has anybody else tried developing a chess program in Common Lisp? Tord
