Subject: iMac, PowerMac.... and Hiarcs 7.0 - does it work?

A friend of mine has a iMac. Does Hiarcs 7.0 for Mac work on the iMac?

On the pages with Mac Chess Software there is talk about "only for the
powermac".

So I wonder if there's a difference between all Macs. Aren't they supposed to
run on the same OS? As I'm no Macxpert maybe you could help me out.
