Mel,
I have read every post throughout both threads. Including the one from James
Walker who pointed out that while 9. Nd6+ wasn't in Hiarcs book the reply Bxd6
was. And that after 10 exd while Hiarcs book would say 10....Qb6 it would see
itself as out of book. I also read Steve's post apologizing for the confusion.
I also had experienced the same confusion while trying to play over the moves
you had posted.

It is true, I posted a couple of days ago about 8....f5 however that was of my
own doing. I also immediately posted another stating that book learning had
influenced my tree to a point where that was the likely cause of not playing
8....f5. However to my best re-collection my only post on the tree issue was in
reply to a post about how to reset the tree weights.

This will be my last note on this thread, best wishes.
Sarah.
