There are some Rebel10 benchmarks for AMD, Cyrix & Intel chips including the
celeron at

The AMD chips have a larger L1 cache.  The cache is divided into 2 equal parts.
The part dedicated to caching instructions is what apparently benefits chess
playing programs.  The theory is, since this is larger on the AMD chips, chess
programs run faster.  The difference between comparable chips is quite small,
however.  I would be guided by price.
