Hi Chris,
There was information on here last week about why it is not a good idea to
use the "Average" Time Controls in a match with computer vrs. computer because
different computer programs interpit "Average Time" differently and that some
Programs won`t adhere to this if it`s losing and so will take More Time to try
and improve it`s game because it`s not a strict time control and another program
will adhere to the Average time control. It was the decision made by the
Programmer!
It was stated that it was better to use the time controls that Force the
Program to make a certain amount of moves in a certain amount of min., like for
instance 60 moves in 60 min. will give you similar to 1 min. average and you
will get the same thing accomplished! I hope that this will help!
