The reason nobody is celebrating this event is because it has been known for some time that Fritz and several other programs are strong enough to beat all but the top five or six players in the world at fast time controls. I predicted that Fritz would win that event, and I wasn't going out on a limb by doing so. Celebrating the news that Fritz knocked off a few more GM's in 25-minute chess is like running into a room full of physicists with the stunning announcement that water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.
